How to Contact Your State and Federal Representatives

Part of being in a democracy is that we elect people to represent our interests in making decisions that affect us and how the business of government is conducted on our behalf. Our responsibility is to communicate with these public servants so that they are aware of what we want from them.

In order to do that, you need to know who represents you in the State and Federal legislatures and how to contact them.

Keep in mind that these people receive a lot of communications from constituents, lobbyists, and others looking to bend their ear about various topics. To be the most effective when communicating with them, keep these tips in mind:

State Representatives

To confirm your state representatives, use the Who Are My Legislators? tool on the Wisconsin State Legislature website.

All of New Berlin is in the 28th Senate District and the 83rd Assembly District.
